Getting Out of Our Comfort Zones

September 8, 2022

Hey Gang!

It's been a long time since I posted. Part of that is that I had become so busy with clients in 2020-2022 (yes, even in the second half of 2020!) that I didn't feel I needed more clients. But, to be honest, it's also because I hate self-promotion and I'm not keen on website design/maintenance and SEO stuff. I simply love COACHING!

What I didn't realize is that a number of people have recently told me how helpful my posts had been. Hmm, so I was actually coaching without realizing it. I guess I need to reframe what I was doing.

After reading a book called What Drives Winning by Brad Ledbetter the last couple of days, one message that stood out for me was getting out of our comfort zones. I knew it was speaking to me about self-promotion and website maintenance and such.

So I sat down and made some edits today with a website builder called Strikingly. And yes, it took me a LOOOONNNNNGGGGGG time to make those edits. Getting things to look just right. And figuring out which functions to use to add new sections and in the way I want them to look. Tedious. But I did it.

Many of you have seen my site before and it won't look a lot different. But one thing I am adding is a blog page. And in that blog page, I am going to work on getting out of my comfort zone and share tidbits with you all about mental skills training, as well as some running and personal training stuff. I'll also highlight client successes, but also welcome you to make submissions for the blog about your willingness to take a risk, to work thru disappointment, your improved life after changing your self-messaging, and any other relatable content.

Thanks for being my audience and reading. Til next time!
