Last week I wrote about Getting Out of Our Comfort Zones. Well, that's easier said than done. I can attest to it because I'm still working on pushing through my resistance to self-promotion. Yet, how can anyone know of the coaching services I offer (running, personal training, mental performance), if I don't let them know who I am and what I do. So, here's my one small step towards my dream.
What's your dream? Think about that for a week and we'll explore that more in the next post. In the meantime, what is one small step you can take towards a dream of yours?
Just like I'm doing by posting this short piece and admitting I struggle with self-promotion, let some ideas come to you over the next week about small steps you can take. Let's revisit and see what we come up with.
And I'll commit to one more small step. A phone call to a personal trainer in my hometown area of Dayton, Ohio. His name is Zach Vargo of vargotrained.com and the Athletic Proving Grounds. He doesn't even know me, yet. But he's getting press here because a trusted friend of mine said this guy is doing great things with athletes. How? By building individual strength and conditioning plans for each individual client or team he works with. Those of you who know me well, know that's exactly how I have coached all of my clients. So I want to meet this guy and see what I can learn.
That's my next small step for this week. What's yours?
